Southend Accountancy, registered as Datarek Business Services, was established in 2002, originally for the purpose of helping small businesses manage their accounts, whether sole traders, self-employed individuals or a limited companies. 

Our founder, Dak Kanani, has over 40 years of experience in accountancy and has worked with various business sizes, from small (under £6m turnover) to medium size businesses with a turnover of £200 million. Dak is a very focused individual with great awareness of clients’ needs in finance and admin. Dak’s wealth of experience has already helped countless small businesses to grow and improve their financial positions. 

We have helped small companies that have lacked focus in running the business – as business owners, it’s easy to become overwhelmed with your accounts. Businesses can’t manage processes and stay on top of the accounts all at once.
